In Loving Memory...

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When a animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge .There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food and water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remembered them in our dreams of days and times gone by.

The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. The bright eyes are intent; the eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to break away from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together.

It is with a broken heart that I write that our beautiful Layla Star crossed the rainbow bridge January 22. Back in 2016 you gave us the great privilege of making her part of our family. She was the perfect dog and I can't imagine that there will ever be another as special as she. She loved everyone but especially her mama. She shadowed me day and night. Her place will be extremely hard to fill. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to share her love.

Sincerely,
Rick & Jeanne Watkins

Hi Susan,

Wanted to send you some pics of our cocker Truman who crossed the rainbow bridge recently. We had him for 14 wonderful years. He was such an independent yet loving dog. He wanted no part of toys. He just wanted to lay on the couch next to whoever.happened to be there He loved company. We always laughed that if a stranger walked in, Truman would be eager to give them a tour of the house. He was so funny around our other two dogs, who were extremely hyper. If a dog could roll its eyes, that's what Truman would do. He did not hesitate in showing them the ropes and who was boss. We miss him so much! He was the best dog!

Thank you for putting Truman in our lives,
Jim, Leigh, Tierney, Donovan, and Liam Hammer

Hello Susan,

Sending you my Memorial on the love of my life, my entire heart and soul, my chocolate angel on earth...Bovi Reese.

I picked up Bovi in April of 2005, when he was only 8 weeks old and it was truly love at first sight. He was my child, my partner in life, my best friend, my heart and soul, my happiness, my rock...he was the greatest blessing in my entire life, my chocolate angel on earth. Bovi was the most amazing and incredible little soul. For almost 15 years it was just him and I going through life together. He knew no strangers, loved everyone and in turn, everyone loved him!! His tail never stopped wagging, he was the happiest little man on the entire planet!! He gave me the greatest blessing in life by being my loyal partner for almost 15 years. He was always there for me throughout all of my happiest and saddest moments in life. He was always by my side loving me and protecting me. My heart is completely broken but I am trying to find peace in knowing that I gave him the most amazing and loving life because he truly lived a very long and blessed life. Thank you for bringing such a gorgeous, special and loving soul into this world!!! There will NEVER be another Bovi...but someday I hope to open up my heart to another one of your chocolate angels. Thank you from the very bottom of my broken heart. Xoxo.

Sincerely,
Lily - Bovi's Momma

Hi Susan,

I'm sending you some pictures of Buddy. He was & still is the love of our life. He was the sweetest, most loveable dog a person could have. We miss him so much. We hope to get another one maybe next year. Buddy passed May 8, 2019. Buddy was born Sept. 12, 2008. His mother was Willow & father was Jasper. We were so lucky to have him for 10 years 7 months. I do know when I am ready for another sweet little puppy, that I want one of yours. I will be in touch.....thank you for so much for Buddy.

Best regards,
Rob & Marcia

Our Tyler went to heaven to entertain other children there on December 10, 2018 and he is buried in his special garden area. His mother was Stewart's Rough and Tough Alexsa, and his father was Simba's Pride. We wanted to share with all of you Cocker Spaniel Lovers out there how much we dearly loved this special friend. Let it not ever be said that these little precious jewels are given to us for a short time to enrich our lives and teach us about patience, love, long suffering, endurance, a time to live and a time to die. Tyler was there to grow with our family now of 15 grandchildren. We had our precious one 13 years and 4 months, never long enough it seems. We have built a lovely garden just under the tree where he always loved watching us till the soil and plant beautiful flowers and hang a hummingbird feeder. He especially loved sitting on the back of the couch and watching the squirrels play and the birds flying in and out of the garden area feasting on God's plentiful harvest.

A gentle soul, a compassionate and caring companion and friend, he was cherished by all of us and we still feel his presence in the midst of us, especially this Christmas. We felt it appropriate now at the holidays to recognize him again in his striking pose on the grandfather chair sitting patiently as we took these two shots. Again we are blessed to now find you guys bringing us such delight adorable puppies from Tyler's lineage, both males and best friends. They have found their way into our hearts. Cody and Taylor are now our new playmates, friends and companions and we cherish the thought that we are now making new memories for 2019!

Boo - Curious but still reserved in action. An easy to handle fellow.

Susan,

My sweet Hallie was born on March 5, 2005 and went to the heaven on Friday, March 16, 2018. She was 13 years old. She was the sweetest dog and had the perfect personality. She loved people and kids and was always friendly. I miss her but know that she is no longer in pain and is running and playing at the rainbow bridge till we meet again. I would have loved to have gotten another puppy from you but since you did not have any available, I knew I couldn't wait a couple of months to get one. Thanks you for raising such sweet puppies. Here is a picture of Hallie.

Susan:

I wanted to let you know that on August 4, 2017, my precious snuggle bunny, Moses James Stafford, went to be with Jesus. We got Moses from you in 2010, and he was very special to me from day 1. Moses loved to eat and snuggle. He was especially fond of my daughter, Naomi, and would often sit outside of her bedroom door until she would wake up and come out. I have included some of my favorite pictures of him.

Thank you!

On August 21, 2005, I picked up my beautiful Benji at the airport in Indiana. I never dreamed that I had purchased the most beautiful perfect little dog. Benji was an ideal dog. He passed away on April 22, 2017 at 1:32 p.m. And with his death, he took part of my heart. Everyone thought Benjamin ("Benji") was the sweetest and best buddy anyone could have ever dreamed to own. His demeanor was the calmest at all times. His vet and groomer loved him because he never gave them trouble to either give him his shot or bathe him. My neighbors loved him because he never barked at them. My neighbors on their porch would have summer parties and Benji would be on my porch hanging out with them. I would not hear a beep from him and I would check and inquire if he was bothering them and they would say "no". Ben is just quietly observing them. This is all to say that I miss my best best pal.. Benji spoiled me forever - I don't think I would ever have another dog like Benji. I wanted to share this with you and the attached pictures. When I found your website in 2004 (I had another beautiful cocker, Nicky who passed away in 2005) that the breeders in Indiana would have a perfect dog for me. My family and friends cried along with me because they know how much this little dog meant to me. Even my friends loved him...

Thank you very much. Nilsa Marin

This is our baby girl Tasha. Born March 26, 2003, Crossed Rainbow Bridge April 7, 2017. We sure do miss you, but we know you and Maverick who crossed Rainbow Bridge in April 2016, are now playing together in the sunshine at Rainbow Bridge.

Sadly missed, Jim and Mary Ann Torrence

Our beloved Ginger crossed the rainbow bridge this last week. She was 14 years 7 months old. She was the best dog I've ever had. I got her for college graduation from you and she was the dirt living breathing thing I had to take care of. What a blessing she was in our lives. And this is why we are purchasing another from you.

Hi Susan,

I thought you should know, our little Ginger (Wags) went to Heaven tonight. She hadn't felt good for the last few weeks. Exploratory surgery found tumors throughout her abdomen and vital organs. She was a happy and gentile dog, tail always wagging, active and playing with our puppy Josie. Puppy Josie is happy, healthy and we all miss our Ginger.

This is our little guy Maverick born May 7, 2000, crossed over Rainbow Bridge April 1, 2016. We had you almost 16 wonderful years, no matter how long we had you, it's never long enough. You left footprints on our heart, but we have many wonderful memories of you. You loved going on trips in the RV. As soon as we had all the things ready to leave you would run to the RV and wait for us to open the door and you would jump in. Our little grandson who is now 10 years old grew up with you, and you always knew when it was time for his mother to drop him off on her way to work, you would jump upon the couch and watch out the window until he got there, then with tail wagging you would meet him at the door. You never met anyone you didn't like, even other dogs. But I know you are running and playing with all your other friends who have also crossed over Rainbow Bridge. Thanks Susan for letting me put this on your "In loving memory" Page.

Sadly missed by Jim and Mary Ann Torrence and Tasha

Hi Susan,

I spoke with you this morning about getting a puppy in the spring of 2016. You asked if I would like to send you a picture of my Molly to put In Loving Memory Of. I wanted to thank you again for taking the time to talk with me about a new puppy. Also talking to you about your animals helped me with losing my Molly. I did look up your Molly and she was beautiful. I had to laugh because my Molly was also my shadow and even though she couldn't see she always new when someone opened the refrigerator door no matter what room she was in!! I am looking forward to visiting you and your "kids" sometime soon.

Sincerely, Barb Meiners

Hi Susan,

We picked up our beautiful Maggie in Georgia when she was 6 weeks old in Feb, 2006. She was so little, but full of spunk right from the start. She never met a stranger and loved everyone that she met. She grew into a very beautiful girl and filled our lives with a lot of love and fun. She was 8 months old when we adopted Shelby and they became best friends. Every night she slept between Mike and I and gave us kisses all of the time. Her favorite thing to do when she was outside in the backyard was to look for lizards. At the beginning of August, I took her to our Vet to look at her ears as she always had a little problem with them. He said she had a small tumor and that we should have it removed and send it out for testing. Two weeks later, I took her in for what we thought was just the removal of the small tumor and it had grown to the size of a tennis ball down in the ear canal. When my Vet called and said how bad it was and that it had affected her liver and spleen already, he recommended that we send her to heaven without waking her up. That was almost two weeks ago. It was quite a shock, but we didn't want Maggie to be in pain. We are grieving her loss tremendously as is Shelby, who is also a cocker spaniel. This is such a hard part of having a dog who you love so much that you think your heart is truly breaking. But we have to be strong for Shelby and remember that we will see her again when we cross the Rainbow Bridge. We love you our sweet Maggie and you will always be a part of our hearts. We will see you again one day and welcome all of your wonderful kisses.

Maggie was born in south Georgia, one of eleven puppies, all black or chocolate. The moment I picked her up off the kitchen floor I knew she was the one. Those big brown eyes said take me home. The lady who owned them was leaving for FL in three days and needed to sell nine of the eleven by Friday night.

From the moment I cradled her in my arms for the drive home I loved her. She was the sweetest, most loving baby girl. She joined my family with Casey and Cory, two buff Cockers. Casey had been diagnosed with cancer and I wanted to get Maggie so Casey could help train her. About four weeks later Casey died and Corey and Maggie would spend the next 13 and 15 years with me.

Just a small chocolate ball of fur who had to be helped up the steps she was so tiny. She grew to be a beautiful and loving sweetheart. For fifteen years, one month and eight days she slept with me, ate when I ate, patrolled the yard when I worked in the garden and loved me unconditionally. My heart breaks without her now but her memory will always remain with me. She crossed the Rainbow Bridge on June 30, 2014 and waits for me to come play and love her again.

Hi Susan,

I wanted to let you know, how wonderful your dogs are and have been for me and my girls.

My first purchased, Sammy, will go to doggy heaven on Thursday. He has melanoma and despite our tries with chemo and medicine, cancer is winning.

The picture below is on your 2003 puppy site. I have 2 others from you, Riley and Julio, they are both doing well still and hopefully will help me with losing Sammy.

Anyhow, I wanted to thank you for the beautiful puppy I have had with Sammy for 11 years. His Mom was Jamima and Dad was Barklee.

All the best, Staci

Hello Susan, I am sending some pictures of my little Cody. Cody was born January 14, 2000…I adopted Cody on March 18, 2000…Cody passed away on March 28, 2014. The 14 years I spent with Cody were so wonderful…words cannot express. He was loving and was loved by everyone that met him. He was beautiful. He was very, very smart. He had a way of teaching me things every day. I never had to figure what he was trying to say; he was always very clear. He loved going on road trips. (the doctor, the groomer or just to sit in the car while I ran into the store) He loved his doctor and Dr. Jerry loved him. The little treats went a long way with Cody. He was never, ever overweight. Up until the last month, he loved to eat. Thank you, Susan, for allowing me to adopt Cody (Shy Guy-as you both called him) Sherry Stellingwerf

Gizmo became part of our family in September of 2011. The kids had been asking for a puppy for a long time and we finally decided to get one even though one of my son's was scared to death of dogs. All the kids immediately became attached to him and everything became about the puppy. We also went back about a week later and got Gizmo's cousin (Stripe) who was 4 weeks older. Not only were the kids attached to these babies but the babies were attached to each other. From that day on it was our family of 8. It was devastating to lose Gizmo in January. We all miss him so much. The kids are constantly looking at pictures of him and poor Stripe is mourning as bad as the rest of us. Our beautiful Gizmo will be in our hearts forever and NEVER forgotten!

We were fortunate to have our beautiful Cocker Spaniel, Molly, come into our lives in 2002. She was an amazing dog who provided many years of companionship and enjoyment. She was a snuggler and we always joked that she was our shadow because she followed us everywhere, especially when we were going to the kitchen. She loved to wear clothing and had quite the collection.

We were even more fortunate that she was still around for the birth of our son in 2010. One of our favorite pictures of Molly with our son is both of them laying on his activity mat sleeping with both of them in diapers. Despite her age, she loved being around our baby boy and he loved her as well.

On June 12, 2011, the day we had dreaded for years finally came…Molly passed away at the age of 15 years, 8 months. Even after over two years, it still hurts but we are so grateful to have had the time with her that we did.

We miss you, baby girl! Beth and Jason

Zoe

April 6th, 1999~March 24th, 2013

From the beginning Zoe was "my girl" she was a beautiful dog. She followed me everywhere I went and did not like me out of her sight! We had a true connection, she could always tell if I was happy or sad without a word out of my mouth. Zoe was there when my Dad was ill with cancer, she brought him such joy and she was also with me when my Mom passed away, she could sense when mom was dying and laid in bed with mom and I to comfort us, Mom always called her "sweet face" Zoe.

Zoe loved to swim and chase fish on our lake, she loved boat rides, chasing ducks, campfires, rides in the car and just laying on my lap at night. She was such a happy dog and loved everyone she met. ;Zoe has left a hole in my heart and in our home and I see her wherever I look but she has also given me so many wonderful memories and I realize that whatever I had shared in her presence can never be lost~I can only hope that she is walking beside me now and looking over us.

I love you Zoe girl~

Dear Susan,

im not sure if u will remember me... but my name is mandy barnes. and im from greenup, illinois. in february of 1999 my family bought a male cocker spaniel from your dec 1998 litter. i think if my memory is correct you guys called him "happy"... we named him bandit. full name bandit of fancy magic... after his parents. im emailing you today with a very heavy heart because sadly, our beloved bandit passed away yesterday morning. i wanted to tell u thank you for giving us such a beautiful and amazing dog. he was our best friend and companion for 12 long years. his death hasnt been easy but i have comfort in knowing we were so blessed to have him in our lives. he was the most gentle, loving, well mannered dog i have ever seen. not to mention the cutest. :) im sorry to have to give you the bad news... but my family is so thankful for you and for what purchasing little bandit from your kennel has done for our lives. he will live in our hearts forever and be greatly missed and loved!

thanks again, mandy
